Vignettes by Luke, Mary Catelli and ‘Nother Mike.
So what’s a vignette? You might know them as flash fiction, or even just sketches. We will provide a prompt each Sunday that you can use directly (including it in your work) or just as an inspiration. You, in turn, will write about 50 words (yes, we are going for short shorts! Not even a Drabble 100 words, just half that!). Then post it! For an additional challenge, you can aim to make it exactly 50 words, if you like.
We recommend that if you have an original vignette, you post that as a new reply. If you are commenting on someone’s vignette, then post that as a reply to the vignette. Comments — this is writing practice, so comments should be aimed at helping someone be a better writer, not at crushing them. And since these are likely to be drafts, don’t jump up and down too hard on typos and grammar.
I’m not actually stupid, you know, and I did grow up in Colorado. As far back as I can remember we used to joke that weathermen in the area go stark raving mad, and that we could get a better weather forecast by flipping a coin or using another form of divination than by listening to the so called experts.
When I was seven there was a a snow storm on my birthday. Which wouldn’t be all that weird, except that my birthday is on the fourth of July. Oh, and the storm was in the morning and by evening it was 80 degrees.
When I learned to drive at 16, mom always made sure even if I was just driving the two miles to the grocery store I had space blankets, water and power bars in the car. Summer and winter. Just in case, you know?
I’ve never before today heard of Sarah Chamberlain, and yet she is my (a little younger) sister.
So are all of you, my comrades. From now on I’m stealing the communist word for believers in the same cause who are not willing to put down their weapons and be stomped on by the reigning leftist hierarchy. Those who will not let their heads be invaded. Those who will provide aid and comfort to others like them.
The promise of brotherhood in “comrade” was always a lie for the left, because a system based on envy and suppression is not brotherhood. Unless your idea of family is as profoundly dysfunctional as a communist’s. (Which I think is the problem.)
Also, frankly, the collectivists have no business — none — complaining we stole their term. We’re …. collectivizing it.
So, you are my brothers and sisters, even I never met you. Comrades at arms. People I’ll succor in extremity, people from whom I’ll buy preferentially. People I’ll promote preferentially, in war or — just — in normal life.
Communism unmade us that way, from within, by favoring their own, which not only allowed them to take over, but gave them the voice of authority and prestige. Which made Marxism a positional good and a mark of “intelligence” because the intelligent do better in life, right?
Well, it’s time to fight back. Now. It starts right now. Right this moment, in whatever small way you can affect. Like Sarah Chamberlain, I won’t be the one to start the rough music, though I don’t promise I won’t join in, unsuited to that work though I am.
BUT I’ve started already to do things to support the believers in freedom and, if given a chance, hamper the collectivists. I’ve started, within the limits of my life to fight back.
It is possible, friends, brothers and sisters, comrades, that we have lost the Republic. But this dream Republic of ours is unkillable. So long as we believe. And what greater purpose can there be in our lives, than to work for the cause of liberty for mankind? We might only be laying the foundations, but our grandchildren will see the flowering. Be not afraid.
And Sarah Chamberlain, if you follow this link back? Sit back. You’re not alone. You’re among comrades, and fellow believers in liberty. You need us give a holler. You want to borrow my forum, ask. There are more of us than of the rats chewing away at society. There have to be, or the last two elections wouldn’t be the way they were. And they can’t create or run anything. They’re like evil elves who can only destroy and demand respect. Don’t give them an inch. Or a cent. Fight back however you can within the limits of possible for you at that moment. It might take a while, but we’re going to win this. Let’s do it for your grandkids, Sarah.

What I am about to say though is perhaps the most important thing I will ever say in public, and in the present landscape of the internet, there is a very high probability that it is being silenced or erased even now as you read it. So, I am asking you to please, save an offline and/or archived copy of this letter RIGHT NOW.
If, once you’ve read this letter, you feel that it has any value or interest whatsoever, please, as a personal favor, send it on through whichever channels, to whichever people you feel safe doing so.
If you think what I say is absurd, please share my letter with your friends so you can all laugh at me.
If you think that what I say is evil, please share it with your friends so you can all rage at me.
If you think I deserve to be punished for what I say, please send my letter on to the “authorities” or to any person you think might hurt me for writing it. At least then, those people will have a chance to read it.
I am an American, a New Hampshirewoman, a lover of liberty, and a happily married mother of four beautiful children. I have a wonderful life, a bright future, and could not ask for any greater blessing than those I have already received.
My enemies are in a word, communists. Modern communists do not usually call themselves such. They do not talk about workers rising up and seizing the Means of Production.
Instead, modern communists adopt a rhetorical stance where they assume that all people and all property are ALREADY COLLECTIVIZED, then calmly discuss what WE should do: – What WE should ALLOW people to own. – What WE should ALLOW people to do. – What WE should ALLOW people to say. – How WE should ALLOW people to use their property. – How WE should ALLOW people to conduct their businesses, – … and WHO should be ALLOWED, – … and WHERE. – How WE should ALLOW people to raise their children. – Who should be GIVEN which roles within society. – etc.
The issue under discussion is always something sympathetic, something most decent people would like to see fixed: Intergenerational poverty, police brutality, environmental degradation, bigotry, violence.
But the solutions modern communists put forward are rarely passive, and they are never liberating. If a problem can be solved by individual action, voluntary charity, by the free market, or by the passage of time, that is never seen as good enough. In fact, nothing that fails to increase the power and control of governments or certain institutions (or to grow the people’s dependence on them) is ever regarded as a solution at all.
The people who do the work of modern communism, debating and voting on these “issues of the day” are mostly not aware of what they are doing. A majority of them are decent people who want real problems addressed. But their thinking is confined to a multiple choice question presented by prestige media and schools where only oppressive proposals are listed as options.
Even those higher up the food chain, the ones who create the policy proposals or set the bounds of debate around them are not usually conscious of the way they are manipulating the public. They are hobbled by a theory of history (care of the school system) where the past is merely a series of dragons slain by government policy, where everything is “systemic”, and where the free choices and conscientious actions of individuals have no meaningful effect.
This is how the enemy operates. In order for modern communists to have the latitude to execute their plans, they need every citizen to be as weak and dependent as possible. They especially need the middle tiers of management, professions, and bureaucracy to be filled with minimally competent placeholders who owe their position to political and institutional favor. These sorts of people, since they are only able to achieve their present position through the system, are more pliable to coercion and less likely to see freedom in any aspect of life as promising or beneficial.
As a consequence, modern communists wage eternal war against every wholesome and sustainable aspect of life, society, and culture which gives people or communities strength and independence. They see it as desirable to destroy the natural optimum which people discover through freedom and competition and replace it with fragile, orchid-like solutions which could not thrive without government and/or institutional intervention: – Those with demonstrable skills must be replaced by those with credentials. – The self-employed must be reduced to the status of employees. – Property must become regulated or burdened with tax and debt, and wherever possible, wealth must be rendered intangible as abstracted financial fictions constructed of laws. – People must come to rely on government programs for security where they previously relied on themselves and each other. – The traditional family and organic communities it forms, such as churches, must be invaded, defanged, and delegitimized to leave people at the mercy of authorities.
To a modern communist, “freedom” means the opportunity for individuals to choose some fundamentally maladaptive way of life and be protected from consequences, encouraged and subsidized by power.
The weaker you are, the more useful you are to those in power. Those who choose to be weak and dependent where they could be healthy and independent are collaborators.
This is what I see happening. The American public has come to accept all the components of totalitarian states. – We have come to accept a militarized police. – We have come to accept ideological indoctrination in schools. – We have come to accept mass surveillance. – We have come to accept speech codes. – We have come to accept the rewriting of history to serve the interests of the ruling party. – We have come to accept the tarring of political dissidents as “terrorists”, “extremists”, and “White Supremacists.” – We have come to accept the State telling us when and where we can meet. – We have come to accept the State shutting down our places of worship. – We have come to accept the idea that parents should have no special authority over their children. – We have come to accept the manipulation of thought through the manipulation of language. – We have come to accept the radical reordering of society by government in the name of crisis.
In the 2016 election, the full-throated manipulation by the mainstream press, academia, and the political establishment was so intense, and so obvious, that many people (myself included) who did not consider themselves “conservative” voted for Donald Trump just to poke a finger in the eye of Leviathan. So many people did so that his margin of victory exceeded the margin of cheat, and he was actually able to become president.
In the intervening years, the modern communists of both parties (though more so the Democrats) and those same media and academia mandarins have only doubled down on their commitment to subjugating the public and clamping down on our personal freedom and political prerogatives. Somehow, in losing electorally, we are to believe that their mandate for runaway collectivism and authoritarianism was strengthened.
Now, in the 2020 election, the fraud and manipulation became so glaringly obvious that, at the time of writing, at least 47% of all Americans, regardless of party loyalty, understand that the election was stolen and Joe Biden is illegitimate. Somehow though, it is still a long shot that Donald Trump, the person who has done more to expose the mendacity and incompetence of the ruling party and institutions than anyone else, will be seated as President.
Every one of those Americans who understands this must realize that this is it. This is the last moment for the American Republic, the last time we will even have a glimmer of a chance of an honest election result, and the last time any opposition to modern communism will be afforded space in the public square. And yet, neither I nor most of you are going to do anything about this situation that might risk our present status or comfort.
This is why I won’t yet act. Unfortunately for me, the crisis has come either too late or too early. Our family has four young children, a single income, and a base of assets which could be easily lost but probably never replaced. We are maximally vulnerable to the sorts of attacks which collectivists bring against those who fight back.
Even so, if the fight were on, if the majority of Americans who this past election shows are opposed to creeping collectivism were on the march, I would risk it all to join them. No comfort, no wealth, not even life itself is as important as preserving the possibility of human freedom. The hive-society prison which is being built around us must be demolished at any cost.
But when I look around me, I see many people who are paralyzed as I am. We know that the fight for our republic is unavoidable, and that the time is now, but do not see a nucleus of resistance to which we can pledge our lives, fortunes, and sacred honors without it being tantamount to suicide. We are watching and waiting for someone else to be that nucleus.
Most people who have not committed to the cause of freedom are not conscious supporters of modern communism. Some hold out the futile hope that things will all go back to normal, others have convinced themselves that what is happening is inevitable and cannot be opposed. Both are dead wrong. As open struggle against collectivism, communism, authoritarianism, and globalism rises, both of these positions will weaken, and support for freedom will grow.
If you have the courage to act where I do not, here is what I WILL do: – If you speak out against them, I will listen. – If you act against them, I will not stand in your way. – If they portray you as uncool, cringey, old-fashioned, unintelligent, or low-class, I will not laugh at you or think less of you. – If they call you a racist, sexist, xenophobe, homophobe, Nazi, granny killer, etc., I will not believe them, nor will I care. – If they call you a terrorist or an extremist, I will not assume that you are in the wrong. – When they ask me questions, I will lie, forget, or evade as I am able. – When they tell me their version of history, I will smile and nod and know they are liars. – If they dispossess you, I will share what I can. – If they martyr you, my children will learn your name as that of a hero. – If you have the courage to be shameless in opposing them, you will be honored in my house.
This is what I will remember. 1. The universities and the class of “experts” and “professionals” to whom they grant legitimacy have no constitutional role in the American Republic. No amount of schooling grants one authority over others, and no consensus among the educated should have the force of law.
2. The guarantee in the Constitution of “Freedom of the Press” is not a grant of authority to the legacy media or to professional journalists. It is, in fact, a right belonging to the people: WE have the right to publish and disseminate views and information the same as those who work for newspapers or television networks.
3. The Intelligence and Defense establishments of the US exist to secure the rights and liberties of the American people. The US has constructed a vast apparatus to deploy force, subvert or overthrow governments, and disseminate propaganda, but these activities are only legitimate when they are directed OUTWARD. When the geopolitical capabilities of the US government do not act to empower the American people and sustain our Constitution, they are just as criminal as the same actions taken by private citizens.
4. Law enforcement and defense against violence is the responsibility of each and every person. Even though we have become accustomed to having these services provided by professionals, they remain our right and our personal responsibility.
5. Education of the young is the responsibility of parents and natural communities. Even though we have become accustomed to having this service provided by professionals, it remains our right and our personal responsibility.
6. Provision of necessities such as food and shelter is the responsibility of each and every person. Even though we have become accustomed to these goods being delivered by a vast and interconnected economic machinery over which we have little control, it remains our right and our duty to provide for ourselves and those we care about.
7. Though peace, prosperity, happiness, and a long life are all wonderful conditions to experience, they are not what makes a human life worthwhile. Humans have dignity and value insofar as they are free agents struggling and striving to obtain these ends. “Treating someone as a human being” does not mean coddling them and providing for them like you would a child or a pet. It means getting out of their way and leaving them the freedom and latitude to provide for themselves.
8. Whoever relinquishes their freedom to obtain comfort or security is not acting as a human, but as an animal. Because our fates are all intertwined, such a person is betraying all of us, and does not deserve our concern or regard.
We are under a very sophisticated form of attack, using techniques developed by all the totalitarian regimes of the 20th century.
Just so you know, you are not crazy. They REALLY are trying to get in your mind and change it to validate their insane assumptions and their plans for you.
You could say all societies do this to some extent. It used to the way patriotism was instilled, in children too young to object, and it was part of the left taking apart that building block of functional countries or families or whatever.
A culture is by definition a group agreement on “how things are done.”
The problem is that the gaslight being pushed on us isn’t even solely for the purpose of making us obey or to keep them in power forever. That would be bad enough, at least if we have any wish to continue having a representative government.
The gaslight is being pushed on us by a culture that already considered itself external (“of the world”) and an occupying culture that needed to “civilize” the rest of us, and which now is full of hate for us and wants us destroyed, dead, reduced.
That thing we say? They’re not after Trump, they’re after us? Well, they’re actually after both. Trump because he dared run against It Was Her Turn Hillary, and us, because we propelled him to victory.
You see, they thought they had everything under control (that alone should tell you what the amount of fraud ALREADY baked in was, by 2016.) They thought we were irrelevant. (They also think we’re all very old, etc. It’s part of their bizarre cultic system that they’re the future. No, they’re not. But they believe all sorts of shit. That’s just one more bit of it.) And they had power forever. And we thwarted them.
Think of it as the victim of a serial killer that gives him the slip. The left has that left of crazy detachment from reality, compulsion to believe themselves superior, and absolute belief in their right to treat the rest of us as objects. That victim is likely to get tortured, humiliated, “erased” before being killed. Because now it’s personal.
Which is why I’ve been in a sweat of panic since September, and I still am. Because at this point I think our corrupt institutions will let them get power, and they will treat us as a conquered land to be “reduced.”
I’m not saying this to scare you, though a little fear is prophylactic. Make sure you are equipped to survive for at least a little while, without being able to buy food, without having power, without transportation. Be prepared for the worst your imagination can conjure up.
Only a few of us will get hit with that, mind, and honestly, they might not even get to me, because the only thing these people are GOOD at is gaslighting. That’s the only thing that totalitarianism, Nazi or communist, or the soft socialism of Europe who did the same thing through tsk tsk and demanding you have certain opinions to get ahead in life, ever managed to do well.
They suck at everything else, from keeping people fed to running a country at any level. And part of this, at least for our current — heaven help us — idiots is that they believe if they can make everyone believe something it will automagically be TRUE. This is why they want novels and movies where minorities are superior, because in their deranged minds, it will make every minority into a super-human. It’s why they’re so obsessed with crazy, irrelevant crap like pronouns. It’s also why they think the government creates value by printing money. Don’t go there. These people have a hole where their thinkum should be. They might have started with perfectly functional brains (AOC excepted. I mean, I’m sure she’s right her teachers thought she was retarded. No, I don’t think it had anything to do with her being Latin.) But they were trained and educated not to think. Our schools are really not any better than the madrassas, where you memorize irrational and contradictory things, and are trained not to question them.
It is in a way the way institutionalized, mass education goes. I’m glad and hopeful that it’s falling apart under the covidiocy. I’m suspicious of all the wringing of hands from the left about how our children are falling behind. And I hope that out of this a completely new model emerges, where the parents actually know what their kids are learning and exert some control over it. Seriously, when the boys were in elementary and middle school it was a full time job to re-teach them after school. I spent years NOT sleeping because I was teaching them, writing, and renovating a falling apart Victorian. (I’ll sleep when I’m dead.)
But what it means, in practicality is that all their crazy schemes and dreams fall apart in their hands, and they can’t figure out why. And when we resist them, it’s our fault, and…. we’re all kulaks now, my friends. Which is why there isn’t a hole deep enough to bury the Turtle for effectively joining the invaders. And oh, the same goes for the supreme court with two notable exceptions, and I’m sure we all are watching in horror as what should be our bulwark against tyranny folds like a cheap umbrella and begs to be eaten last. Never understanding what they’re doing is telling us we NEVER HAD A SAY.
Well, I don’t know how the future holds, or or how long we’ll continue in this vile, gutless submission to a barrage of lies. The crazy coviodicy sh*t was bad enough, but now the continuous barrage of “there’s no proof of fraud.” when everyone is dismissing the case without allowing discovery, so no one official has looked at the proof, THAT is the outside of enough. (And there’s proof. Dear lord, we’re swimming in proof.)
And I’ve seen this shit push into right wing blogs, where in the middle of an otherwise completely sane article they’ll drop in “but there’s no proof of fraud.” or “President elect Biden got more votes than any candidate ever.” or whatever the idiocy of the day is. And you (and I) know that “It’s because Trump is mean, and we should only nominate Romney like squishes” is just around the corner and is why Romney is acting like the puffed up asshole he is.
Well, I won’t say that I don’t blame people, but I do UNDERSTAND why theyr’e falling for this and falling in line. Part of it is that they’re social apes, and not naturally contrary (mom always said I’d break before bending from the day I was born. She wasn’t wrong.) Part of it is that this is an EXTREMELY sophisticated gaslighting operation. Take the thing reported in the NY Post of all places, about someone killing an airconditioning worker, because the murderer thought they were there to tamper with the elections. The murder happened in OCTOBER, so we can probably guess the murderer was flying on broken brain and maybe drugs, and had nothing to do with Trump. Actually, considering in October, it was the left screaming and hollering that Trump would steal the election, you know? the guy is probably a hole-in-head lefty. But it deserved printing now, because of course, it makes those of us who believe there was fraud cringe and wish to distance ourselves. Same btw with a lot of fly by night started up yesterday outfits that are publishing crazy theories with no byline, stuff that’s either obviously insane or gets immediately discredited. (I’m not convinced Sydney Powell and Lin Wood aren’t this kind of outfit, btw.) Yesterday I dropped out of all the Stop The Steal groups on Mewe, because they were flooded by that stuff. Just flooded.
All of this makes people start thinking “Oh, maybe there wasn’t fraud.” BUT THAT’s bullshit. There is no way there wasn’t fraud. We ALL watched it happen in the middle of the night, and Epoch times has more on it every day.
And what I want you to understand is this: right now they’re in people’s heads. They got in there with the covidiocy. Everything from lockdown to wearing masks is created to stop casual conversation and any contact between casual acquaintances and/or strangers. That is the reason for this new lockdown, for banning dining out (which has almost no incidence of infection) for screaming about the holidays that get far-flung family together.
Their illusion, their gaslighting is so flimsy, both on the “we’re all going to die from Winnie the Flu” and on the “there was absolutely no fraud, believe us” that normal contact between human beings would dispel it. Which btw, is the reason for Biden’s “100 days mask mandate and probably lockdown, peasants!” I mean, it also makes us beggars and kills people, but the real reason is that people can’t talk to each other in passing and say “I know the election was stolen.”
100 days and they’ll have cemented their hold on our minds, they think. For all I know, they’re right. This year has shaken to the core my belief in people’s ability to penetrate lies.
And see, once they have that hold, they can start selling you that no matter how bad THEY are, others would be worse. Part of this of course, is casting the blame on a highly exaggerated death toll etc. on Trump for not magically banishing a virus.
This is how countries actually die. When they start believing the tyranny is the best of all possible worlds. This is why places like Russia and East Germany STILL HAVE COMMUNISTS.
So whatever else you do to get through the undilluted SUCK that 2021 will bring our way, it’s very important you dont’ consent to letting them f*ck with your mind. Because they’re going to try in every possible and imaginary way, from false statistics, to false news, to screaming shaming.
Refuse to accept their screams over your lying eyes. Refuse to let them in. Refuse to use their terminology.
It’s not alleged fraud. It’s fraud. It’s not President Biden/Harris/Chtulhu, it’s the Fraudulent China Joe and Commie Lawhorish. It’s not “Oh, but we have to go to war now.” It’s “We’re going to war to distract us from their dumb f*ckery at home and justify violating our rights some more.” It’s not “the virus caused this” it’s “Crazy governments caused this overreacting to a perfectly average virus.”
Don’t give an inch. Watch what you say, and don’t let them in your head or out of your lips.
We do not consent. We will not buy the lies. We will not allow them the ultimate victory.
*I’m not saying I told you so. Oh, hell yes, I’m saying I told you so. And I’m saying also that the fraud was MUCH bigger than even YOU suspect. In fact, the left got almost all votes by fraud. AND that you can’t beat fraud like this by working harder and volunteering. We need to clean the Augean stables, or America will remain an OCCUPIED country. (In the spirit of always telling the truth while lying, the left’s favorite movement was “occupy”. Because that’s what they’re doing.)- SAH*
It’s Going to be Tricky – A Blast From the Past From November 7 2018.
Who knew? PT Barnum was right.
Apparently it is possible to win the House of Representatives in America even in an extraordinarily prosperous time (though I’d argue most of us haven’t recovered from the debacle that started with the Dem legislative take over in 06, so it doesn’t FEEL prosperous yet.) by promising to raise people’s taxes and to throttle energy production.
Or… of course, we have a fraud and an MSM problem.
I’ve talked about fraud here before. In CO in 2012, when I both poll-watched and was in touch with poll watchers throughout the state on a party line, we were counting 1/3 people being told they had voted before. On the party line, I learned that in Denver it was 2/3. You can’t beat shit like that.
Yes, the people turned away were allowed to vote a provisional ballot, but you see… the thing is that that only gets counted if they come up short — ie. if the difference between the winner and loser is less than the number of provisionals — but the other ballot just gets counted. It’s already in. It’s already in the system. Do. The. Math.
Even so, 12 was tight, and they had to find boxes of votes up in Boulder county. Which is why the first thing the dems did when they captured Colorado legislature was to go all vote-by-mail. To save money. You know how fiscally conscious dems are, right?
I’m told something similar happened when Oregon went all voteby mail. We’ll never win another election here, unless this is reversed. Period. Dot.
And now the architect of this change, which most people who aren’t really involved think was some super duper way of campaigning, is our governor.
Pray for my beloved Colorado. I don’t want to HAVE to move. It’s in the cards, in ten years or so, mind, since likely the boys will settle out of state for various reasons and we love our friends here, but have only two sons and would like to be near them (with our luck that will mean I need to make a lot of money indie, and we need two pieds a terre one near each boy.) But then one boy or the other might stay here, and we WANT to stay here for ten years at least. In this house. I love my eagle’s nest house, where the eagles fly at my office-window level. And we’re doing stuff to it, like put down wood floors, to make it my dream house. I don’t want to be forced out by Colorado going California fast and hard.
I have ideas on how to get around it, and an article for PJ about vote by mail and early voting (And btw, US born and raised people are all ADHD or short term memory loss. Every time I come out against those, everyone piles on that I want our military not to vote. Not a problem. They always had vote by mail. Or they tell me I don’t want them to vote because they’ll be busy/not in country on election day. Oh, please. There was always SOME early voting, but you had to show you needed it. One year I voted two weeks early, because we were going to be in Portugal on the week of the vote. I had to show my plane tickets, is all. And a friend who could not vote because she worked all day every day, and wouldn’t be let out, took a letter from her boss. What I oppose is vote early or by mail for “convenience”. Will you sell your franchise for convenience?)
And we have an MSM problem. A BIG MSM problem. Not a single democrat would have got the vote, if the MSM had, you know, reported on them and their actual agenda.
As in, if the MSM had shown them chanting “No America at all”, if Louis Farrakhan were shown shouting “Death to America,” (Since that’s all right with the MSM, let’s all shout “Death to Louis Farrakahn.” No? Why not? What’s the difference?)
If the MSM had reported on how well the economy is doing without trying to credit it to Commie Barrie. Etc.
Mind you, millenials might still vote commie, because they are profoundly misseducated, particularly on history.
As is, with those two advantages: the unchecked fraud and the MSM wholly on their side, they managed to get the house by a razor thin margin. Yeah, it’s not impressive. It’s certainly not a blue wave.
But it’s enough. Look, somehow, people think health care is the most important thing right now (it is, but not for the reasons they think. Obamacare forced a lot of good doctors into early retirement rather than deal with the crazy. I know. Friends and I lost doctors that way. (And a lot of the ones who stayed are wholly invested in the Obamacare “force you to lie to us” questions. Which, yeah, is what it is. If one drink a night with dinner is alcoholism, then I’m going to tell you I don’t drink that. (Note that this makes whole countries alcoholics. Also, now that I’m on a million and a half meds, I don’t drink much, really. But I lied to them for YEARS.) Let alone other things. Half of my mental answers to the stupid questions are “none of your business with bells on.” Which frankly means a lot of the ones left are social workers and busybodies at heart, and not the best doctors.) With Nancy Grey Goose Pelosy (seriously, her alcohol bill a taxpayers expense when she was speaker was gargantuan. Speaking of alcoholics, she seems to have one tied on AT ALL TIMES) in charge, the solution to this worry, as she already hinted, is Single Payer.
Now you’ll say we have the Senate and Trump. The Senate has squishes and healthcare is Trump’s least conservative stand. He simply fails to get that Single Payer is bad. So we’ll likely get that foisted on us. As I get older, and yes, my body being tricky, this worries the living crap out of me. I’d like to live another 30 years, as is customary for my family. I have books to write, damn it. This will not happen under single payer. Not unless I make a lot of money and go private as soon as it’s available. (Okay, so I see a lot of writing in my future.)
That I’d say is our biggest danger. That and our inability to clean out the inky stuff in the FBI, CIA and federal bureaucracy with the House in enemy hands. And of course, the ever-present possibility they’ll find ways to institutionalize fraud as they did with CO. But for that they usually need two chambers and a complicit executive.
Oh, and the possibility they’ll screw us financially. And that their constant drip drip drip of investigations on crazy sh*t — they are already demanding Trump’s tax returns — in conjunction with their MSM amplification will create such an image problem that they can elect whoever they want in 2020. If you thought Obama was bed, wait for the Kamala Harris administration. You’ll die laughing.
Of course Americans are slow to fight, which is why we got here, but if that goes on… there will be blood on the streets.
So, is all lost? No. Despite the fact that I woke up with a splitting headache and a sense of doom. (No, not hangover. I actually ended up not drinking, because… mostly because not indicated with meds.)
Here are our strengths:
The MSM is less believed every year. The full court press, the crazy sh*t they’ve been spinning should have seen them win 60 seats in the house and flip the senate. It would have, even ten years ago. But they were so openly corrupt during the Obama years that people lost faith. Most of the people still listening to them are my parents and inlaws ages, and I’ll be blunt, most of them won’t be around much longer. (And a lot of them are only voting because of democrat “helpers”in nursing homes.) And their audience is skewed more to those who are sitting and listening to their propaganda all day, which is not the healthiest segment, at that. Remember working out makes you conservative? (My parents seem to bear that out)
In another 2 years, their influence will be smaller. In four, even more so.
And we are finding new ways to reach people, in news and in entertainment. This blog took a step into more serious reporting with Bill’s posts. There will be more like that (though not necessarily from Bill.) We need more of that. Our penetration is small, but there are ripples, and ideas spread.
There isn’t a hell of a lot we can do about vote fraud — except report on it, ceaselessly — but we can do something about information. And about entertainment. In fact, my friends, that’s my particular trench in the culture wars, and I MUST — for various reasons some personal — amplify my efforts. Those of you who can, should too.
The other sign of hope, and not so much statistical but among the kids we knew while the kids were growing up, is that millenials started moving away from all the crap they learned in school, as the rest of us did, when facing the real world. The fact that there are JOBS under Trump has exploded all their preconceptions.
Yeah, they’re squishy and occasionally they still fall for “Orange man bad”or for “commie so cool.” If you have contact with them, educate them. Don’t bludgeon them. The young are prickly. TALK to them. Explode their preconceptions and the crazy economics and history they were taught in school. Do what you can.
And while at it, if you have kids, homeschool. No, I don’t mind homeschool fully, though of course if you can, do it. I never could. But I homeschooled AFTER school. Read their books. You’ll find most of them are based on Howard Zinn’s bullshit. So, buy other books. Teach them world history. Explain why the establishment lies to them.
Teens are naturally rebellious. For generations, the left has sold the idea they’re anti-establishment. Make sure people understand the left is the establishment. They have such easy-to-mock types, and a lot of them will be on display in the House of Representatives. Encourage the kids’ right and just rebellion against the sclerotic establishment.
This is not the end. It’s not even the beginning of the end. It might not be the end of the beginning.
We’re starting the long work of turning around a leftist narrative and governance that is now almost 100 years old. No one promised us a rose garden, and in a long war, the other side will win some battles.
Yes, I know, the other side is SO unhinged it’s scary when they get any power at all.
On the other hand, it will happen. We must harden, we must survive.
The next two years will be tricky. We need every single one of you to fight for the cause of liberty and continue the work of freeing us, mind and body, from Marxist shackles.
Earlier today (I got up much too early) we were talking about the times ahead, and I will have things to say coming up.
For one, you guys have no idea how socially disruptive times process. No one who hasn’t lived through it knows. Plus you’re all poisoned with story. You have imbibed story by every means possible, some of it disguising as history classes, but really a highly fictionalized and compressed version of things.
I know we in the States do things faster (and generally bigger) but there is an internal logic to strife and revolution that is mostly hurry up and wait. And a bizarre lot of normal life subsists, interspersed with completely strange, reality-breaking events.
The strange, reality breaking events have started. We did not have an election, we had a Fraudiletion and a Frausident was elected. The members of the establishment who imbibed as much story disguised as history, and that story mostly from a Marxist perspective are in the thrall of the illusion they should submit so they will be eaten last, since “the people will rise up” and “The people” are of course communist. You should forgive these idiots, by the way. The bureaucrats and rulers have suffered from this illusion since the early twentieth century, and actually before. The French revolution scared the pants out of them and they took all the wrong lessons, which is why the remaining royal families are “climate change” tools, Muslim apologists and in point of fact enemy agents.
And that’s part of the problem we have. Count on most people in our institutions, who could stop the crazy train to the de facto if not the jure enemy agents.
And enemy is the appropriate name, since you know, it’s not just the fact they shout Death to America, they really mean it, and want to destroy ALL nations in the name of some bizarre, global super state.
No, they can’t win, but we can lose. Which is why it’s important for us, in the middle of the bizarre/normal/bizarre/normal events to find our feet.
We must both make it absolutely clear that should the fraudulent be sworn in, he does not have the “mandate of heaven” which is to say the confidence of the people. The bureaucrats and idiots need to wake up that while they’re afraid of astro-turf riots, they are facing…. well…. revolution and war. Probably a series of them. And the tech Lords with their curious illusions and their attempts at censorship can’t SAVE them. We will find a way.
Now this is a big and important purpose. And you’re going to think that it’s going to completely consume your life, and you’ll go out in a blaze of glory.
That’s story thinking. Fiction is simplified and fast. It’s real life with all the parts cut out. Real life works differently.
So this is the first article of a series. I was going to call it “Make your bed.” We’ll come back to that. I’m in fact not the least interested in your sleeping hygiene, but it’s a good encapsulation.
I’m one of the few people here who has lived through massive societal disruption (over and over again, because, you know, Portugal is a fractious little place, a family quarrel with borders, and you know what domestics are like) and I know how much the accounts clean up (and outright lie) what was a very bizarre series of years.
Because we are the ones pushing for change in this case and bizarrely (when all we want is our constitutional republic) the revolutionaries (most of the 20th century followed a Marxist script and they’ve only gone crazier in this century) we need to understand a few things about what we’re undertaking.
First, this is not a novel. You can be as pissed as you want to be, and you can take as much action as you can, ranging from passive resistance to the fourth box, but this will not — with very, very few exceptions — be your entirely life.
You’ll still have to earn a living, have relationships with other people, live in the normal world.
Most revolutionaries are miserable people, failures as parents and failures as spouses, and failures as humans. I leave it to someone with more time and head space to figure out what that means and whether people become revolutionaries because they’re broken, or whether they’re broken because they become obsessed with the cause.
It could go either way, and Peterson encapsulated it very well, in the idea of people striding abroad to fix the world’s problems while they have an unmade bed back in their room.
Because it’s easier to want to fix big problems that you know you can’t fix alone than to look after your daily life.
But go above and see where I said that you still have to live a normal life. That normalcy WEIRDLY prevails even in the crazier times. As we have had proof in 2020, as our governors and insane people try to change the way everything it works, and people keep going back to being people. (Which, btw, is the biggest resistance you can engage in RIGHT now. Just refuse to obey the insane orders. Come out, come out, wherever you are.)
Before 2020 I lived the transition from National Socialism to International Socialism. And I’m here to tell you that the most bizarre thing is that credentials stayed in place, the forms of normal life continued. I mean, money lost value at a bizarre pace (to make this clear, when the revolution happened the Portuguese currency was 7 to the dollar, and by 1985 (roughly ten years) it was $200 to the dollar. Prices were…. interesting. And there was the usual meddling of wage and price controls, and the black market was NEXT level. (There will be a fortune to be made in the black market in the next few years. I guarantee that. Already I understand “restaurant” and “club” “speakeasies” are the biggest thing. But I suspect a black market for food, for clothing, etc, will develop, should the fraudulent get control of our lives.)
What this means is that, through all this, you have to keep your normal life going as much as possible. You still have to go to work. You still have to be nice to the people around you. (Though meh, we’re more and more dividing, and no one requires you to be nice to people who want to kill you.)
To put it in terms of my own life: I still have to write books; I need to finish the remodeling of the house, since we’re intending to move out in a year. Where we move is slightly influenced by the situation. I mean I never wanted to live anywhere but Denver, and I always loved big cities. Given what’s happening to big cities right now, that’s been revised, as has the list of states on the differential. But we’d always have moved — because altitude is playing havoc with my life — and that needs to go on.
Great social fights, no matter how justified and glorious, and even if we are — we are, you know? — putting our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honors on the line so our children might have liberty are not big explosions as they are in stories. The founding fathers still had businesses (most of them counted on their wives to run them, and some like Franklin, were not very nice in that respect as the wives ended up with everything dumped on them.
BUT though some of them paid the ultimate price, and some died as paupers, a lot of the better known ones prospered through this. They looked up their private lives if not first at least as much as their public lives.
So friends, brothers and sisters in this endeavor, look after yourself and your life. Create compartments. Allot a certain amount of time to the revolution, sure. It will be needed. Be ready to pay the ultimate price. It might be needed (though for a surprisingly small number. Right now, what most of us are in real danger of dying from is famine, weird as that seems, because the left is trying as hard as it can to engineer one.)
But keep your head about you. Work at your chosen avocation. Make money. Sure, if you want to save it in well used gold jewelry (because if you trade in a well worn wedding ring for a pound of meat, no one has any reason to think you have more at home.) or actually you SHOULD keep some in well worn gold jewelry (Pawn shops. We still haven’t broken my mom of her habit of buying used gold. It’s almost endearing.) But keep some in the normal bank account, keep some in investments, and keep your eyes open for things you can do to fulfill a need and bring in unexpected wealth in “these turbulent times.”
In my case, I hear that escapist fiction is selling very, very well. And as soon as I can get the craft room setup (at this point late December is the earliest) I’m going to start making things to sell and give away. Part of this is that I really need to disperse a lot of fabric, paint and craft stuff before we pack to move. Part of it is that in Portugal — and Portugal is different, being an hyper-social society — a lot of the black market was arts and crafts. As legitimate businesses were devoured by wage and price controls, a lot of street vending, with a blanket and running if you saw the police became a thing. A lot of the young people who couldn’t find a job worked at this stuff, and made not just modest incomes, but got experience both with managing finance and with the insanity of regulations. And yep, in a revolution, or the middle of a bunch of them, people still bought and sold toys, jewelry, clothing, etc. And if a lot of it was made from upcyled material, well, that was the time we were in.
We are lucky in that we have access to a ton more materials, and that there is now an internet. I predict a growth market in useful phone aps that are not what our overlords expect, and they will give the young people an outlet and a means to make a living. I suspect we’re not far from “gadgets” either. (And will whisper a word in younger son’s conch-like (d*mn big conch) ear.) And well…. we’ll see what offers. I’ve solidified my idea of what I want for a site for witers. Let me talk to the tech people in the house, and I’ll get back to you on what help we need and when.
Remember a great part of our ah…. revolutionary efforts right now go into protecting our first ammendment and refusing to be gaslit. This means honestly that there is money to be made in alternate avenues.
There is absolutely no reason that what makes you money shouldn’t further the cause, either. But remember that you must first make your bed: look after yourslef, those close to you, those you love. Attend to your primary responsibilities.
If you’re undercover, keep your head down at work. If you must vent, create a deep cover alternate identity for those efforts. I don’t care how unsuited you are. I kept this up for 15 years, and I’m the world’s least likely street agent.
We don’t know how long this is going to take. To an extent this is out of control. And since these events are actually worldwide, it is ….. uh…. even more complicated.
I don’t think the instability will last very long, but then again, have the same reliability as the magic eight ball. What I experienced was a summer rain compared to the storm that’s coming.
What I can tell you is that it will take much, much longer and be more complicated than you can imagine. And since the future belongs to those who show up, you must keep your head and keep yourself going, and keep yourself fed, and make sure you have resources for contingencies.
Yes, this means long term food storage. It means buying used gold for disruptions (which won’t be permanent, btw, but usually limited in time.) It means arming yourself, because in places and at times things will go kinetic.
But mostly? It means working really hard, and making sure you’re okay and those around you are okay: keep your credentials current, keep your skills sharp. Keep your eyes peeled and your mind flexible for new ways to build parallel structures and new ways to build things, so that the tech lords (more like the tech bums) will fnd they took control of the wrapper, not the gift.
This is not the time to plan your glorious demise. This is the time to plan discrediting, taking power away from and making irrelevant those who would enslave the entire world to their deranged illusions.
A lot of this starts with “make your bed.” Keep yourself sane, look after your every day responsibilities, work hard as hell, and be your best you. You’ll then be in the best shape possible to shape the future.
Me, I’m going to write a lot. And if they try to cancel my books, I’ll find new ways to get them to you. Because it’s the skill I have, I’m better at it than most of their darlings, and by gum, I’m going to be good and work as hard as I can.
I’m not saying not to plan for long term and extreme survival. I am. I’m not saying not to resist. I am. I’m not saying not to even plan a move to a safer place. (We are, though there are also other reasons.)
I’m saying, unclench. Stop expecting fast and explosive. Plan for the lonnnnng fight. Plant to thwart anything done to destroy us.
You probably, unless the one reading this is a military VIP or has a key position in bureaucracy, if you are, carry on, can’t do much about the big actions in this long war, but you can do EVERYTHING about the small actions: make yourself solid, prosperous, find your best position (a flea might give a conductor an itch, but the conductor can derail the train.)
The future belongs to do who show up. And by Bob (Heinlein) we’re going to show up. And we’re going to win the future for liberty.
Be not afraid. Stop fretting about your impotence. And go do what you can. We are the majority, and we are going to win this.
The death of the laptop means I can no longer access the Amazon codes for books on the promo post. I’m hoping to get that fixed sometime this week and will then run the promo.
Sorry. Meanwhile here are two images to play with:
I’m taking the day off to do some basic cleaning, some writing and a sh*tton of editing.
I still don’t know what to do. I grew up with a man who still mourned the loss of the Roman Republic.
I feel at this point I don’t even know how to get to okay.
But I’m working on it. There is no surrender. That much I know. I will not surrender, I will not kneel. I will not submit. Want to make me? Drag me! Drag me every inch of the way.
Sometimes — more than others — I have weird prophetic dreams. They’re not really very useful, like dreams normally aren’t.
But they tell me that time — or perhaps the human mind — is more than what we tend to think of it as being.
I mean we’ve all experienced instances of “coincidences”like dreaming of a friend we haven’t seen in years, and then run into them the next day.
Sure. Deja vu. You just think you dreamed of it. won’t wash, I’m sorry. It’s one of those things that violates the Occam’s Razor. You start by explaining “you didn’t really dream it, you just think you did” and next thing you know you’re explaining why someone said a sentence in perfect second century Latin because they once heard it for a few minutes.
At any rate, my foretelling dreams have a different feel. And they’re I HASTEN TO ADD completely useless.
My favorite ever was when younger son was having lots of trouble in school, and I thought he would drop out of sixth grade and, well, have all the problems that come with that sort of thing. I dreamed we were waiting for him at the bottom of the stairs, and my husband called up “Hey, you don’t want to be late for your court date.” And then he came down the stairs in a suit.
I remembered that one, because…. wouldn’t you? Yeah. It was a traffic ticket. You see, when he started driving he drove my husband’s 1986 Mustang, whose speedometer had given up the ghost long since, and he had some trouble figuring out how fast he was going. BUT I only had a few seconds, so I was terrified.
Well, I won’t claim my future histories are prophetic. For one I have more than three. For another, I wrote the future history for Darkships on a hot August afternoon, in our top of the hill house in Manitou Springs (it’s still the house that was most “ours” even though not nearly the one we lived longest in.)
You see, we had a writers’ group, and I was supposed to do a short story a week, and I’d found what I enjoyed most was Space Opera. (Still is.) But what I was doing, being me, was coming up with a new story-world-place every single time. This was insane, exhausting and quite strange, to be honest.
SO I sat down and worked out the next thousand years in an afternoon.
Is that the sort of fugue state where premonitions might come? Who knows?
It is however a nightmare that I’m enduring now. “What if I called it?”
Certainly the insanity of the Global elites is such that it could possibly lead to the world of the Good Men. Maybe. I think honestly that requires a level of competency that the global would be elites lack. I mean, seriously, the pulp writers gave us effete tech Lords with interesting vices, beautiful sculpted appearances and — let’s not forget it — capes. Even Heinlein’s technocratic elite might be paunchy, middle aged, etc, but they at least used their ill gotten gains for what seemed to bring them pleasure.
What precisely do we have? We have Mark Lizardman Zuckerberg, who doesn’t even look human. Jack Dorsey who looks like he’s homeless and can’t afford a comb. Oh, and the politicians they buy: the increasingly more zombie like Nancy whom the transfusions of young Chinese prisoner blood might keep alive but certainly doesn’t make happy. The increasingly more hateful and less human Clinton’s. Obama, who given a skin bleacher could pose for movies about the less hinged Roman Emperors, Caligula say. Commie laWhorish with her dead eyes and deranged laugh, finding out that the wages of sin being death would be a relief, considering mostly in her case they seem to be frantic stupidity and a sort of vapid self-adulation that reality continuously undermines.
So, I think the world of Good Men would take a bit more competence, more panache than they can muster.
But who knows? Maybe Winnie the Xi has purchased brighter puppet masters to watch them. So?
So if the worst happens, if this stolen election is allowed to stand, destroying the “representative” part of our republic?
Well, I’m not going to lie to you and tell you that it won’t be very bad. I’ve been praying as hard as a human being can that this shall pass from us. But what if it doesn’t?
First, it’s not our fault. This situation has been in the making since our “elites” went head over heels for Marx a hundred years ago. Oh, and “scientific governance.” As for their despising us, that might be baked in to every system.
But like my considering myself the world’s greatest dunce because I signed some very bad contracts in publishing…. As opposed to what? Precisely? It was the only game in town, and its rigging and the conditions of its being rigged went well before my birth.
Second, it’s not forever. Let’s not fall into the insanity of the left and the Chinese and all those who think they can rig things and they will be forever.
Oh, they’re going to try. But knowing this gang of idiots, it will fall apart in their hands within a couple of years.
Third, there are many ways to fight. Like many of you I have a preference for brutal and direct. Honestly, if it weren’t for the fact I’m very lazy I’d probably be in a maximum security prison. But I’m lazy. I’m also a coward. I’m always terrified just before a fight, particularly against a larger and stronger adversary. BUT– I still join it when I must.
And I’m not going to lie and say it might not be needed. I’ll fight for me, for mine, and for those who are in the process of getting hurt.
Because you do, if you’re human.
But some of us are not by age, condition, or training, best used as shock troops.
You can still fight. Yes, I have this blog. Recently someone gave me a quotation from the book of Esther which they said they felt compelled to give me. It was from the book of Esther and basically said I should use what I have which seems to be in context this blog, insty, my fiction. Well, if I can pull myself up from the depths of depression and the mire of despair, I will, of course.
But there is stuff all of us can do. If you search for Operation Swamp Fox, you’ll find suggestions, but I’m sure you can come up with other stuff.
And most of all, we must cast off this near-teutonic component that has crept into the American character the last fifty years.
Look, the problem with a non-representative government is that they’re not found by the people. They do things that harm the people horribly, as those of us in occupied, vote-frauded states have found, and they don’t care. Because what are you going to do to them, PEASANT? Vote them out? Don’t be ridiculous.
In those circumstances, the only thing a free individual can do is not be bound by the government. Ignore them to the measure of possible, or even impossible. Heck, if you can at all, run across the road to spite them.
Find ways to counterfeit the mask mandates. Gauze. Sheer material. Hell, preferably bare faces and a raised middle finger. I have a medical condition. We ALL do. We’re Americans, born in liberty. In your face, you insane tyrant.
If your restaurant is closed, have you considered reaching out to regulars and asking how they’re doing, and inviting them to dinner at your place. Well, your restaurant, maybe, but maybe a backroom, yes? Just having some friends in for dinner, in staggered batches. And if they want to put some money in the kitty, how are we going to stop them?
We need desperately and immediately, and I don’t have the expertise to do it, and my husband doesn’t have the time, so I’m begging you, tech people who read this: we need something like substack for fiction writers. (Yes, I”ll make one for me. For non fic too, but time… and depression haven’t been with me, not to mention computer magedon (speaking of things being weird, I realized I’m doing to electronics what I did in my teens when I was incredibly unhappy. I walk by them, and they fry. This is a problem.) But we need a dedicated one for Fiction Writers. I looked at Locals, but it’s more…. video?
What we need is something that lets you subscribe to a writer and get that writer’s daily/weekly output and maybe the unedited e-arcs (advanced reading copies) of the books if the author feels like it, for a little more. This doesn’t cut the author off Amazon, because, well, they can erase past-content to bring the book out on Amazon exclusive (as I do with my serialized novels here.) BUT we’ll have a network and a place, so that if/when Amazon goes insane, we can sell there/ make arrangements.
Please, I beg you techies to do it. Yesterday, if possible. And I don’t care if we have five competing versions. Just let me know when you do it, okay?
And we’re going to need back ups for everything they might cut us out of. Which is everything. And you — yes, you — need to come up with some way to make a living if your current way crashes. I’m perfectly willing for you guys to brainstorm in my comments.
This is going to be a lot harder if they do manage to steal the election. A lot harder for them, that is. While we believe the government legitimate we, decent people, will try to follow what they tell us is needed. But now? After the long lie of 2020? F*ck that. If you have to stay embedded use it to mess with their minds. And if you don’t, go rogue with both feet. Don’t buy from the left if you can help it. If you have to sell to the left, charge more. Rule-lawyer them. Make them live their own stupid dictates. Make their life more miserable. (It’s already pretty bad. They’re a sad lot.) And take care of those you love. Oh, and try to accomplish the things you feel you need to. Mine is easy. I tell stories.
Keep your scrap of flag dry. (I will send them out. Computermagedon, health and depression haven’t helped.) Keep your clothes and weapons where you can find them in the dark. Be ready to die, if that’s what’s required, but it’s always better to make the villains die. Be ready to obey if you absolutely have to, but do it as malignantly as possible. And if you don’t have to, hoist middle fingers (that’s why you have a matched set) and be as defiant as you can possibly think to be.
It’s going to require ingenuity and creativity. If it were easy, it wouldn’t need AMERICANS.
Shoulders up, ladies, gentlemen, dragons and minotaurs. Eyes front. Where we’re going we don’t need roads. We’ll make them as we go.
Time is the strangest thing. And you can’t really tell the future. In novels, you can say “and then it was like this for hundreds of years”but that’s rarely true in real life. Even when it’s true, it’s not really at the micro level.
They can take the territory and the bureaucracy, but they’ll never take AMERICA. The leftists, poor things, always discarding the gift and keeping the wrapper.
You can’t kill an idea, and our republic is one of the most powerful the world has seen. Which is why they hate it — and us — so much.
It’s too bad, so sad, because long term, we win, they lose. And at this point we’re pissed off enough they’re going to lose VERY thoroughly.
Make your plans. Get ready to make them really unhappy.
There’s no losing, unless you give up. And the Lieutenant (Heinlein) wouldn’t like that.
The Supreme Court and the Electoral “Safe Harbor.” – by Amie Gibbons
Hello again, everyone. This is Amie Gibbons. Urban fantasy, mystery, and paranormal romance author, cat mom, and most importantly for today’s post, political nut and lawyer!
The lawyer hat is on, so it’s the usual disclaimer. None of this is actual legal advice and is not to be taken as such. These are the political opinions (and rants because I’m seriously scared) of this humble lawyer today.
These views also most certainly do not reflect the views of my employer and have nothing to do with them. Why? Because (nervous chuckle) they might fire me if they see this and I don’t have my political self as distanced as humanly possible from my job and make it real fuckin’ clear this is me speaking just for myself and not them. Don’t know what my lawyer job is? Good, you can’t report me. Know what it is? Don’t report me, because I like my job, and I’m buying a house and kinda (really) need the income. I’m nowhere near quit the day job money in author earnings, especially not after the shit show of 2020, trust me 😐
Generally States have a deadline to certify their election results, this year it was December 8th, and these certified votes then allow States to send the Electors for that particular candidate to the Electoral College to officially cast their votes, this year on the 14th, and if one gets 270 electoral votes, that one usually becomes president.
This year has brought out a lot of legal questions that law students will be digging through, and lawyers will be making money on, for years to come.
That is, if our country isn’t completely destroyed by the left because they’re looking pretty damn close to stealing this election. The fat lady hasn’t sung, but the curtain is lowering and she’s running out of time to belt out the final note.
And it’s looking like a sour note at that.
Remember as you read this that I am a pessimist with anxiety and depression issues, so I tend to go towards worst case scenarios. (If there are meds strong enough to make me not care that our country is on the brink of being destroyed, I may need them in the near future, because I’m likely to give myself a heart attack at the ripe old age of 33 if this keeps up.)
The States that were up in the air certified their electors. Which means those votes where Biden cheated in the swing states are certified to go to him. Again, there could always be faithless electors that are sent to vote for him and don’t, but it’d take a lot of them doing so to affect this election.
The lawsuits at the State levels were struck down, not approved, and/or not granted, to stop the counts, audit results, and/or temporarily stop States from certifying electors so that the fraud cases had more time.
Why is this deadline important? Well, here’s the law on the certification date.
“If any State shall have provided, by laws enacted prior to the day fixed for the appointment of the electors, for its final determination of any controversy or contest concerning the appointment of all or any of the electors of such State, by judicial or other methods or procedures, and such determination shall have been made at least six days before the time fixed for the meeting of the electors, such determination made pursuant to such law so existing on said day, and made at least six days prior to said time of meeting of the electors, shall be conclusive, and shall govern in the counting of the electoral votes as provided in the Constitution, and as hereinafter regulated, so far as the ascertainment of the electors appointed by such State is concerned.” https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/3/5
Essentially this means that States make the call on certifying their own electors, and how they do this is not to be considered a federal issue, which means appealing up to the Supreme Court on that count is not likely to succeed, because they would say it’s not a federal court issue, it is one for the State’s Supreme Court to decide. And here, those State courts have decided.
So we’re looking at a lefty president, who won’t live past his first term, thus getting the insanely far left Legal Hoe Harris in office. That means more Obama-esque socialist expansion of unaccountable federal government agencies, restrictions of rights, another recession, and less money for those of us who actually work with more for the Dem’s voter farms from those living off the backs of others, a Dem controlled House, and if they cheat in Georgia again to grab the 2 Senate seats, and why wouldn’t they, a tied Senate, with the leftist VP as the deciding vote, and therefore a Dem Senate.
I know, you’re thinking the Supreme Court is more conservative, and they have integrity. They’ll stop the president from doing anything too crazy, eventually.
Hahahaha. Oh, bless your heart, my sweet summer child.
Have you ever heard of the “Switch in time that saved the nine?”
Back during FDR’s reign (and yes, I use that word on purpose) he shoved socialist programs down Americans’ throats, expecting them to suck and swallow because he was president and Americans were desperate and in a depression. The only thing slowing down the socialist president and his pack of goons in Congress was the Supreme Court at the time.
Sounding familiar?
Since the Court kept roadblocking obviously unconstitutional federal power grabs, FDR hatched a plan. He threatened to “pack the Court,” by adding 6 members for a total of 15. Which is possible. There is no provision in the Constitution limiting the number of the Supreme Court to 9, in fact, it didn’t start out with 9, it got up to that over time for various reasons throughout history. FDR’s threat to pack the court coincidentally coincided with a swing voter on the Court suddenly backing his plans, and therefore letting the socialist programs blaze on by. Hence the New Deal programs doing so much damage to America and leading us further down the slide into socialism. And based on the Court no longer blocking him, the bill to pack the Court was dropped.
Congress can pass legislation to increase the number of justices, if they’re ruled by Dems, they will pass it if the Court stands up to them, and we all know it. Then the President would put in the liberal justices that would back their plays for more socialist “reform,” and all branches would be lost to the people of the United States to a mass of no separation of powers, no checks and balances, and no accountability to actual Americans. (The States could pass an amendment to the Constitution to lock it into 9 justices, but it’d take something that extreme to stop them from packing the Court.)
And if you think we have a chance of coming back from this in 2024? No way, not a chance, not without something extreme, like a Civil War, a coup, something to break the Dem’s corrupt hold, because now that they know they can get away with cheating (again, I refer you to Larry’s analysis of the numbers on the fuckery going on in the election in this post) so all future elections will be meaningless shadow puppet shows to give the varnish of our Republic still functioning while the heart of it rots underneath.
Things are looking pretty grim, huh? I told you I’m a pessimist, and this is me going to worst case scenario. When it’s down to a Civil War or coup is your only hope to not lose your country and its ideals along with your freedoms, yeah, the playing field is dark and the trees are ready for the blood of patriots and tyrants. I really don’t like that option. I’m kind of attached to things like internet, running water, heat, and oh yeah, food!
Now, here’s the flag on the play.
Texas.
Oh dear lord, do I love Texas right now. If it loses this suit, and decides to leave the Union due to the impending insanity of a corrupt liberals-controlled country, I’m going with them. (Well, hopefully Tennessee goes with them so I don’t have to leave. My career, friends, and soon to be house are all here.)
Here’s what Texas AG Paxton said in his claim of “standing” to file suit. (Standing is where you have to have a stake in the case to be able to bring suit. For example, you can’t sue for your neighbor’s Constitutional rights being violated, unless that affected you in a tangible way.)
“These elections in other states where state law was not followed … affects my voters because these are national elections, and so if there are fraudulent things or things that affect an election and state law is not followed as is required by the Constitution it affects our state,” Paxton told “Fox & Friends” on Wednesday. “It affects every state.”
“We can’t go back and fix it, but we can say, OK, let’s transfer this to the legislature … and let them to decide the outcome of the election. That would be a valid constitutional situation,” Paxton continued.
So Texas is claiming it has standing to sue over the election results in other states, because those states not following their own laws, directly affect Texans because it is a federal issue who is president and the fraud in those states will therefore affect the people of other states.
This is huge. Like biggest case of our generation if the Supreme Court takes this up. If they don’t, well, that’ll also be one for the history books, at least until they are all changed by Big Brother.
Now, you may be asking why this is immediately in front of the Supreme Court instead of working its way up through lower courts first. It’s because they handle dispute between States directly. States’ disputes between each other is Supreme Court jurisdiction. Because who else would be able to handle it?
Here’s more of what Paxton said, “Using the COVID-19 pandemic as a justification, government officials in the defendant states of Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (collectively, ‘Defendant State’), usurped their legislatures’ authority and unconstitutionally revised their state’s election statutes,” Paxton’s complaint says. “They accomplished these statutory revisions through executive fiat or friendly lawsuits, thereby weakening ballot integrity.”
If Texas wins this lawsuit, they are asking for the Court to rule that the 62 Electoral Votes from the 4 contested states not be counted, therefore putting Biden and Trump both under the 270 required Electoral votes for the Presidency, which would toss it to the House, as I went over in my post last week. It’d be left to each state to have 1 vote each for the President, and we’d be looking at another 1876, which right now really is best case scenario for us.
I’m saying that because if they get away with the cheating now, they will do it in the future, and will control all branches, so no one will be able to efficiently stop them. And then we’re back to the whole Civil War thing.
And I don’t know about you, but I don’t have any quit in me, and I know I’m not the only one, sooooo things would get ugly.
Now, for my shameless self-promotion. Because I haveto get something good out of the disastrous blow yesterday. 😊
If you are interested in books that aren’t full of bullshit wokeness picked by publishers in New York City who care more about an author’s victim points than their actual books, then check out my books!

Again, this is Amie Gibbons, we are fighting the good fight through grassroots efforts, getting involved with national politics, and writing damn good books that speak to the hearts of humans about freedom, liberty, free will, and what authoritarian governments do to all those beautiful things.
As Sarah always says, be not afraid. And yes, that is me telling you to do as I say and not as I do, because I’m terrified right now.
(And this is Sarah, also telling you that I’m somewhere between despair and rage, and scared as hell and wanting to taste blood too. Still be not afraid. If we go down we go down still fighting, and what person — or nation — can ask for better? We all owe G-d a death. Let’s make it a good one. – SAH)
