Pimping one reader!

*From Monsieur le Oyster, this morning.  And yes, I’m writing chapter of Rogue Magic.*

We had just one submission this week, so hopefully that means you all are too busy writing to send me links! Now take a break from torturing your characters and watch someone else torture theirs! As always, future entries can (and should!) be sent to freerangeoyster [aht] gmail [daht] com. Happy reading!

Bound into the Blood – A Virginian in Elfland (The Hounds of Annwn)

Bound into the Blood
DISTURBING THE FAMILY SECRETS COULD BRING RUIN TO EVERYTHING HE’S WORKED SO HARD TO BUILD.

George Talbot Traherne, the human huntsman for the Wild Hunt, is preparing for the birth of his child by exploring the family papers about his parents and their deaths. When his improved relationship with his patron, the antlered god Cernunnos, is jeopardized by an unexpected opposition, he finds he must choose between loyalty to family and loyalty to a god.

He discovers he doesn’t know either of them as well as he thought he did. His search for answers takes him to the human world with unsuitable companions.

How will he keep a rock-wight safe from detection, or even teach her the rules of the road? And what will he awaken in the process, bringing disaster back to his family on his own doorstep? What if his loyalty is misplaced? What will be the price of his mistakes?

  1. I just bought the first in the series. It was the reviews from the professional hunting organizations that sold me 😉

  2. And I’ve been writing too, despite the muscular and mustached lady shot-putter/editor that keeps telling me to fix my paragraphs before I write another–

If I can put a personal request in here–Sarah/Oyster, shoot it down if this is out of line–I’ve had three beta readers bail on me in the last week. If anyone is interested in trading beta reading with me, I have a chapter of the work in question up at my website.

    1. I’m impressed at how you keep the quality and story telling so good through the course of the series. 🙂

  3. I didn’t realize the next one was so close to coming out. Thanks for posting this.

    1. I love not having to wait a whole year for the next book in a series, but I keep forgetting to check more often.

  4. I do have another book out “Perchance to Dream” but because it is in the select program I didn’t know if I should send the link– It is a dark fantasy. Plus I have a flash fiction on my blog– Otherwise I am still writing.

    1. Just send me a link to each of the online outlets you have it listed in, and I’ll take it from there. The address is freerangeoyster at google’s free mail service.

A note for everyone: all I need is a link, since I’ll pull image and synopsis from there. People have been very gracious in sending me appropriately-sized artwork and info on their books, but since I don’t have keys to this here blog, I can’t upload photos. I just link to the image at Amazon (or from the publisher’s site in today’s case).

        1. You’d have to ask Sarah on that. I’ll put up whatever’s sent to me, barring any guidance from Our Beloved Hostess, but I’d recommend no more than once a month. I’ll try to compile a master list from everything that’s already been sent to me some time soon, and we’ll find somewhere to put it.

              1. Okay, okay! I’ll add it to the to-do list for the week! *makes a note on his handbrain, muttering* Going to need that time machine finished to pull all this off…

                  1. Nah, you go write, boss. I’ll just pop over to the Diner and see if Rex’ll lend me a time machine. I mean, what’s the worst- *gets hit with a clue-by-four* I mean, I’ll be really, really careful!

                    1. You don’t have to do it all at once. Just work your way backwards through the book plugs and copy them into the new blog. This week’s will be easy. As you have time. It doesn’t have to be all at once.
