A Note So No One Worries

Posts will be late this week. This is because we have early morning appointments every single day, and I can’t stay up late as usual to write the posts, or I’ll never be able to get my behind off the bed at six. (Which is needed for the entire morning duty list, including feeding cats, before I leave the house at seven thirty or so.)

So, indulge me, okay? Just this week.

  1. Praying for you and for good outcomes for all tests and procedures. And if you will, and have time, PLEASE pray for me, Had another near heart attack a few nights ago, still recovering, thank you and God bless you and yours.

      1. Sarah, I’ve tried to email but either I have a really old address or Murphy is cocking a snoot at me. Tried (3 letters of initials at mail of heat). It blew up with technobabble (better than in my semiconductor days) with my normal account, while gmail insists the address is not there or it cannot take messages.

        Help!

              1. It appears that mail of heat has a block on my cupric email provider. Email comes to me, but my SWAG is that spam/fraudsters are using that domain for unpleasant things.

                I’m using an alternate address from gmail. Sent 08:33 PDT. Same subject line.

    2. Eek.

      Scary.

      Praying for your recovery.

      No heart attack, that I know of, yet. No more afib incidents since a silent one last April. I am two weeks from open-heart surgery (valve replacement) and afib treatment. Moved from Friday, Aug 7, to Monday, Aug 10 (more urgent case required some adjustment to schedules). Same prep day appointment but time slightly earlier. Have I started to freak? Maybe a little. It is in God’s hands.

      Sarah, I hope you find out what the issues are. Nothing like knowing something is wrong that keeps happening when you do not know what or why.

          I won’t be posting past Sunday, 8/9 through at least 8/17. I’ll need to work out a method for the group to know should things go, um, unfortunate. Do not expect that. But it is OHS.

      2. The Reader offers prayers for a good outcome. He is doing well 10 weeks after surgery with the exception of a high resting heart rate the cardiologist thinks will go away ‘eventually’.

        Monday surgery is better than Friday – by the time you get to the weekend team you feel a lot better. And by August the new residents and interns at least can find their way around the hospital.

  8. Prayers for the healing of all here who need it.

    I can at least find the motivation to pray for others, though I am still having problems walking to the sink to do the dishes.

    Of course, it may also be that I got another cat, and now I have to sleep twice as much. :-)

    I decided not to take my annual two week vacation in Pennsylvania, and then made the mistake of looking at one of the cat adoption sites.

    Found a beautiful 4 y.o. Lilac Point Birman male for adoption for $20, applied, was 1st, talked to the owner and picked him up the next day. I think that he is a purebred, though he is without papers now.

    He gets along with my older Bombay pretty well, but I need to take him to a groomer for some small mats that I can’t brush out. No, he will not hold still long enough for me to clip them. :-(

    1. I know, right? Not only does she apologize, she tells us that she won’t be around to chaperone, er, hall monitor, um, warn us to put down the power tools, er ….

      What polkadot paint? You mean the can in my hand? Um, I was just going to, ah, refresh part of the target range, make some of it a little more challenging, yeah, that’s it. *sidles away*

        For me there’s no difference at all. I’m old, so I can get away with a lot.

      3. Misbehavior or missed behavior? I tend towards the latter. Yoinking schedule from oh-dark-twenty in abd mid-day out to late in the evening clock-in to scarper after the sidewalks have been rolled up has been discombobulating. Teh crazy comes out more these times, much to the discombobulation of the cow-orkers.

        We shall endeavor to keep load-bearing comments in their proper place, eschew the use of explosive expounding excesses, and carry on with verve and vivification (if not vivisection) in our conversation anon.

        Eh. Naptime must ensue forthwith. Much to do upon the morn.
