Oh noes, Sarah didn’t give us our free blog post, for which she does not get paid!?

Ooh! Moar clankertunes! I’ll wait patiently. Sort of. :)
FWIW, I (finally) get to see the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow (was supposed to be last week, but he got called for emergency surgery). We’ll see what he has to say. Using the electric shopping scooter helped a bit for the weekly market trip, but…

Forgiven, for what? You seem to think we expect you to work every day and produce stuff for us to read or something. For free. Right. (rolls eyes)

Real forgiveness or the forgiveness of a Sith?
(Okay, my Sith Inquisitor from SWTOR was actually pretty light side. Even got Darth Imperious as a title at the end of her main story.)

If their eyes didn’t change color and they gave up killing the person who trained them, those Sith would be fairly normal, embracing their emotions and directing the energy they got from them to advance their goals.
Meanwhile the Jedi are always on about “trust your feelings” but then if you have any feelings you have to suppress them. No laughter as a Jedi Knight, and certainly no attachments or Jedi baby making, so the entire order has to be parasitic on the general populace for recruits.
Why, it’s almost as if George didn’t really think things through…

SWTOR is 4k years before the first Star Wars movie (released, not the prequels) so the rules are slightly different. Just getting started, IIRC.
Oh and she did kill her master, though granted her master tried to kill her first. Or at least transfer herself into the Inquisitor’s body.
Need to get back into that game and finish the remaining class stories I have left. (Trooper, Sith Warrior and Bounty Hunter.)

Honestly the only reasons that Star Wars (no 4 5 or 6, Let alone 1-3 or (shudder) 7-8) was a success was that the actors felt free to tell Mr’ Lucas that his dialogue was somewhere between wonky and hopeless and his wife edited the film down into something tolerable instead of it being the turgid mess THX 1138 was. Lucas is a good director and a decent producer. He should be kept as FAR AWAY as possible from the script and all but the earliest story boards.

Marcia Lucas editing room prowess along with her inputs to George are main contributors to the original (now Ep 4) being a good movie and a success. It is a widely held opinion that she saved the original in the editing room. She is a major reason The Empire Strikes Back was the best movie in the series (along with having a screenwriter, Laurence Kasdan, hammer out the script from George’s ideas). And her absence from the editing room for The Return of the Jedi due to their divorce is why that movie feels so different, its pacing sucks, and it falls flat.
She has finally broken cover and has been giving interviews, vids of which which can be found on YT.
On actors, George lucked out in casting Carrie Fisher, as she did major work on refining dialog on all three movies she was in. Harrison Ford likes to tell his stories about correcting Han Solo’s dialog on set, but I have seen scripts with mark ups from Fisher, and she made a huge difference throughout the script. She also went on to a career as a highly sought after “script doctor” in Hollywood. As for Mark Hamill, while he worked with George on his character I have not heard he was the source of major inputs.

So H’wood story about an actor defending a character he played years before: The 1996 “Mission: Impossible” movie folks wanted to cast the original Jim Phelps actor, Peter Graves, in the reboot. But when he got the script he saw that the big twist was that Jim Phelps was the big bad guy, betraying the agency, his colleagues, and everything he stood for…so he politely passed on a large motion picture paycheck. He didn’t want to play an evil traitor Jim Phelps.
Moral of the story: Mark Hamill is no Peter Graves.

Although when Dart InSidious gets to the “Let it flow through you” part, his apprentice-candidate should probably be in the Galactic Republic Senate Staff Lavatory.

No worries young lady. We shall abide in peaceful chaos until you return. ‘Till then, rest well and be content in the knowledge that it’ll all be back to normal by the time you look in again. Swearsies.

“Normal”. Are you referring to a state that’s somewhat peaceful and expected, or are you referring to something that’s 90 degrees from reality? Asking for a friend who borrowed my Klein bottle of very heavy water. (Tritium dioxide, of course.)

Answer? Probably.

I wrote an essay thinking about sharing it here, but I decided it maybe was at the quality level I should expect when I write a total of six or so essays in a day.
The filters/brakes had started to fail by the time I made myself stop writing yesterday.
So, yes, I may have been at 90 degrees to reality.
But, it was also frequent behavior for here, I would submit. Perhaps even behaviro that shows up here with a guassian distribution.
LOL

As is our annual tradition to say to everyone on Orthodox Forgiveness Saturday, “God forgives you, and so do I.”
Not that you really need to post every day. I’m lucky if I post once a week.
