  1. If the Hobbits had stayed in their holes, the evil ones would not have known about them and enslaved (or killed) them. [Very Big Sarcastic Grin]

  2. Just shared the “No Brais Rally” meme on x with Seattle’s commie representative Pramilla Jayapal, who wants taxpayers to pay reparations to illegal aliens…

  3. Broke vampires? Seriously? Is that even a question? You have mental powers to beguile your victims. You can literally kill them, rob them, and turn into mist to get away. He’s right, if a vampire is broke, they’re too stupid to continue to be undead.

Schrodinger’s Douchebag. Oh, they have a term for me now.

D&D Groups? Unfortunately, that’s mostly true.

Now a Dolly and Elvira movie would be funny as heck.

    1. Democrat changes a man? Hold it, hold it, hold it, made to the toilet on time. bleagh!

Vikings? Don’t forget the Normans! Well, don’t forget the damn English too. Friggin’ invaded Wales and Ireland too!

Hmmm. Let me see if I can get my state rep to propose a bill banning immigrants from California, with an exception for those applying for asylum from globalist marxism.

    2. Your costs of living are low (hopefully not violent), and you can easily acquire desirable properties and assets at low prices, as well as being able to invest in interesting businesses. You also can collect interest.

      1. A longer time frame is the financial planning basis for higher financial risk tolerance, so immortals can tolerate effectively infinite risk.

Plus, if their broker effs them over they can suck out all their blood.

  4. Re the political spectrum: Heinlein said it first, and better:

“Political tags — such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth — are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire. The former are idealists acting from highest motives for the greatest good of the greatest number. The latter are surly curmudgeons, suspicious and lacking in altruism. But they are more comfortable neighbors than the other sort.”

On the policies supported by Democrats: remember they did many of these things long before the nazis ever thought of them. The KKK precedes the SA by 70 years or so, for examples, as do their laws disarming “unfavored races”.

  5. My beloved looked at the judgemental cat and said, “That’s the way Sydney looks.” Then we saw her meme and, yep, the cat has the same expression.

  6. Florida woman trying to outdo Florida man. But why the pineapple costume?

(Many years ago, I was licked by a giraffe at the Jacksonville Zoo. I wonder how it’s changed).

      1. Also possibly, “because cocaine.” Jacksonville is a port city and you probably get just about any controlled substance your heart desires there.

  7. The business with “Manos, the Hands of Fate,” must be a really common pun. I’m pretty sure the Legion of Superheroes had a villain named Manos (and yes, he had a hand that could destroy almost anything) before 1993.

    1. Given the utter ineptitude of every aspect of the film, I object to calling it a pun. Did (fertilizer salesman) Hal Warren know that “manos” meant “hands”? Yes, undoubtedly. But to credit him with wit is to speculate in the face of a mountain of evidence to the contrary.

  10. Currently watching 3/18/26 testimony to the Ohio legislature’s House Energy Committee. About power transmission lines.

Hokey smokes, this stuff is fascinating. They can tell what is happening where on the “advanced conductor” power line, by what sound it makes.

I don’t know if we should have it, but it is cool stuff.

The Ohio Channel is the statehouse and state govt channel.

    1. Buckeye by birth, so you get a like. The Nega-Ohio portal, by the way, is about halfway between the Serpent Mound and Hangar 18 at Wright-Patterson AFB. I’m not saying it means anything, but I’m not saying it doesn’t, either.

  11. Oh gads, “environmental racism.” Better known as “poor people live close to the factories and stuff, and employees on a budget try to live close to work because commuting costs, so they are closer to the soot/steam/sounds/flares/what have you.” Toss in lack of skills, as well in some cases as de facto if not always de jure segregation (blacks, Irish, Italians, Chinese) and voila. “The racist industrialists made minorities live in the polluted places!”

Granted, there were a few really bad apples who deliberately dumped waste and such in places where they knew the residents couldn’t afford to complain (or to hire lawyers).

    1. On another public TV channel, there was a documentary about turning the Adirondacks into a big NY State park in the 1970’s. It gradually became clear that the POV was that of people basically ruining prosperity in big swaths of upstate NY, so that they could ‘save’ nature.

So we changed the channel to power company testimony.
