Regarding the Ohio road sign, why do you think so many of the early astronauts were from Ohio? They wanted to get as far away from the place as possible.
“Lunar orbit should be sufficient.” – Neil Armstrong, probably
Lol. But probably not true of Armstrong, at least. He lived most of his post-NASA life in Southwest Ohio, up until the folks at the hospital up the road f’ed up a procedure and killed him.

Donald always got a bum rap in the cartoons, in the comics he had problems, but it’s insane how many different jobs he was able to do and the creative solutions he came up to to the problems he ran in to.

You just know some yoot decided Randy needed a date, played wingman, and slipped him into the girls dorm.
Video meme:
Randy, arriving in the harem, eyes go wide in slo-mo, and the background music is Sesame Street “One of these things, does not belong here…” then a bugle playing “Charge!”.
Cut to a psychedelic “censored” card, and some jive 70s funk.
I’ve been following him since 2017. His method of delivery, combined with that bone dry humor, meant he could read the phone book to you and you’d be entranced. Always solid info, enough extra context to be perfectly thorough, but still concise enough to not be a bore.
Ian Smith was right, and if the Crown had promised them independence for their WWII contributions, then London absolutely owns the wreck that’s called Zimbabwe.
my wife just got mad at me because my daughter and I were watching John Wick 3, and not some “girly movie.” She’s mad because Little Britches likes a bunch of the things I do, like SF/Fantasy and action movies. Apparently I am making our daughter a “weirdo” who will never have a husband because she won’t be feminine enough. Oh, and the leggings and hoodies aren’t girly enough because they’re black or dark colored.
In her world “dropping a tranny” means she was working on a relatives POS car or she punched some asshole in the ladies room.
Second date we went on was fishing at the lake.
Not to mention she is a firearms instructor and a trained RO. Her boat that sank was much bigger than mine.
Plus she got an Extra Class amatuer radio license just to get a cute call sign. And setup a Plex media server just to have her 47 jillion movies and albums available to the family.
Advice to single guys: Marry someone that is cute, trustworthy and extremely useful to have around in the real world. And can train hunting dogs.
How old is Little Britches, and does she like cats? Does she for sure and certain want to have kids?
I have sons, and the twenty-year-old is single, majoring in microbiology. He would like very much to meet science fiction loving young ladies who are in the appropriate age range. He also has Indy, Helena, Circe, and Muse’ younger sister and brother, or perhaps they have him.
The first question was how they got the coconut halves they were banging together. What was a coconut doing in England? This devolved into wrangling about migratory birds and how a swallow might carry a coconut to England from the tropics. Arthur eventually gives up in disgust and leaves, his servant still banging the coconut halves.
Ugh. I always thought that was kinda dumb, because obviously you blame Byzantium. There’s the Silk Road, there’s the India tradewinds, and there’s plenty of weird stuff that just floated from culture to culture as mathom-like royal gifts.

I never debate my motives for saving a good cardboard box, as evidenced by the 140 or more moving boxes folded flat and stored in the garage for the future. Of which a goodly portion were stored on a high ledge in our last residence for 15 years, just waiting for us to move here three years ago. ;-)
We moved last year and have emptied 75% of the boxes except the full ones still in the shop.
People will ask for moving boxes until you have a good stack in good condition, then they ghost you. Except for the one family friend that is a hoarder and has 4 storage units.
It’s called “box ranching,” because once you get rid of the perfect box, you regret it forever. I have some boxes that have been with me for at least eight moves, carefully folded and packed away for the next great relocation.
The terrified mom and kiddo, re-write the scene. Its a lady instructor from NRA’s Women on Target, handing her a suppressed .45ACP short-barrel rifle. cut to frame of ….buuuurrrrp….buurp…buuurpp… Cut to frame of husband getting home, out of car, looking puzzled at stack of oddly trashbagged shapes stacked next to trash cans. “???”

Was going to say something about the Ohio road sign myself, but although I grew up there, I haven’t lived there in more than 30 years.

The bird is a swallow, the ball is a coconut, and the question is whether or not coconuts are migratory.

Amplifying the above:
In my hometown, there was once a shop called Wizard TV Repair.
On their sign, under the name of the establishment, was a drawing that looked like a jet-black Smurf with a wizard’s hat and an evil, evil grin.
Under that was written: ‘Trust Me’.
This shop remained in business for many years. Clearly they did something right.
