For various reasons, including that after eight years in the house we thought we should unpack. So, I’ve been organizing the house from the basement up & decluttering the downstairs, as well as trying to finish three books. (You’re going to ask. I know. Please don’t.)
So I intend to sleep late and post late. Live with it. Witchfinder might not be out till Sunday…
the scene from ‘the incredibles’ where the wife calls the husband to say they finally finished moving in, and he replies that they’ve lived there for X years, ‘but I just unpacked the ;ast box”
as someone who lived in 8 houses by 5th grade, boy does that sound familiar (I’m not sure I’ve ever been completely moved in to any of the 7 houses after that one either)

We moved every 3 years for 21 years so this used to be an easy task. If the box had not been opened when it was time to move it was time to dispose of the items (family and christmas boxes excepted). Now we have been in a house for 14 years and have had 3 sons move in/out repeatedly. The attic is a disaster. Clean up begins in mid March. I miss basements. Attics are very rarely just the right temperature to work in.

Unpacking the last box is dangerous. It increases the probability of a new move by an order of magnitude.

What, you needed a cardboard box that badly?

Ric,
Thanks for the link. I thought I spoke English before moving to London. I had to make some changes. Then we moved to Canada – more changes. Now we are back in the US …
